Temporary Cooling And Service Help Construction Project Reach Scheduled Milestones

Location: Texas
Industry: Construction
Equipment: 25-Ton, 30-Ton Cooling Units, Rental Air Conditioning, 5-Ton Cooling Units

Texas – On a large, multi-building construction project, Cahill Services was called to return and provide cooling after a successful winter of heating several buildings on a large, multi-facility construction project. With several buildings across the campus, organization, communication, service, and results were paramount.

From Heating to Cooling – Year-Round Solutions

After recently completing a successful winter of Jet Heating on several buildings, the general contractor for a large, multi-building project called Cahill to return for the warm weather phase of the project. As interior work was underway on several buildings of the project, cooling would be in demand. With an emphasis on wood products on the interior, including timber beams and extensive wood finishing trim and molding, climate control (including monitoring humidity levels) was essential.

Finding a Solution Focused Partner

The contractor was working on several buildings and needed to maintain specific conditions during interior work. Aside from commercial grade cooling, service on-site was essential, as myriad demands existed on this project. Given the heating success and quality service experienced during the winter phase, the GC knew he had found a solid partner who delivers on expectations.

Service and Results are the Difference

The emphasis on service and cooling was stressed for this phase. The previous summer on other similar buildings, the last contractor failed to achieve the temperature goal of +/- 5° hold of 70° interior temperatures. Combined with the inability to have service teams respond to job site needs, the contractor knew they needed a service focused partner, and one who could maintain the interior temperatures when it was 100° outside.

Conditions Met with Cooling

Over the course of nearly six months, the rental cooling remained on site, holding conditions on the three buildings, with service teams responding to any needs, primarily configuring ducting inside. The contractor was very pleased with all the climate control, service and results provided by the Cahill team, especially given that we had provided climate control across several seasons and with many buildings on the project – never failing to meet expectations.
