Light Towers Rentals for a Northern Alberta Mining Project

Project Scope

Two Cahill Solar Hybrid LT’s were sent to a Fort McMurray Mine on a trial basis to see how they performed during the longer hours of the night and below-freezing temperatures.

A cost calculator was completed using the engine run time data and fuel consumption data from March. This reporting is monitored through our DSE platform. We then took the data and compared it to see if you used conventional LED and Metal Halide Light Towers in the same area.

Project Results

The total cost savings using a Cahill Solar Hybrid Light Tower ranged from $1,106/light/month to $2,858/light/month, depending on whether you account for the daily labour to turn on and off a conventional light tower.
